As I said on SSP, sick! Actually, I can’t remember what I said on that site about your pictures. The Pittsburgh Police estimated over 10,000 people watched that Game 4 outside the Igloo on the jumbotron.

Whenever I need a “Pittsburgh fix” I come to your website. It makes me remember how pretty the burgh is, I just couldn’t stand the snow anymore. Your pictures bring back so many memories. Keep up the good work. You are good at what you do.

I went up to Pittsburgh to see my daughter graduate from the Art Institute and reaized just how much my city has changed since I left in 2001. I didn’t think it was possible, but the ‘burgh has gotten even more beautiful! I can remember when I was a kid how dark and dirty the city was. What a wonderful change! And I LOVE your pictures! I just can’t do snow and cold anymore! Thanx!!!

Found your site while up at school in NY this year. Made me really homesick and yet so proud to call this city home at the same time. Huge pens fan, had one of your shots of the steel building with “go pens” on it from last year as my desktop, it got the job done ^_^. How’d you get those shots of the cup though? Lucky lucky!

I still can’t get over how stunning your night shots are. The reflections off the river are simply amazing. Many thanks for your photography, and not just because I’m studying architecture.

  14. Jim wrote:

Well, the pictures are great as always…then they are marred by the use of the watermark. Don’t know what prompted you to start doing that, but it “de-enhances” the pictures, IMO.

  15. Matt wrote:

    Copyright infringement is rampant, Jim.

As always, your pictures are breath taking. Excellent job covering our city!

i’ve had this site bookmarked for quite a while now, and your work never ceases to amaze me. i’m a (very) ameteur photographer myself, and this city is my favorite subject. it brings tears to my eyes how it prefectly captures many of the reasons that i love pittsburgh. your photography is as beautiful as the city itself, and as close to the real thing as you may possibly get without walking through the streets yourself. thank you, thank you, thank you.

You are terrific Matt. I love your pics. I often wonder how you do it. I just love them. Keep it up ok. Will you take more pictures of Indianapolis? I would love to see them.

  22. Matt wrote:

I love these pictures, they make me sooo homesick for the burgh. I love Pittsburgh, born and raised in Johnstown, there is no place like Western PA. Pittsburgh truly is America’s greatest city. I am in Baltimore now, but would often wish I was back in the burgh. Hopefully soon I can come back home, because I always know that the people of Pittsburgh and Western PA always welcome people back with open arms.
