"Pittsburgh Pieces" for June 2006 - These photos were taken during a week I was home in June. I went to a couple Pirate games, and took a flight over the city (again), and photographed plenty of other subjects. |

My brother and I went up to the West End Overlook to photograph the sunset. Instead, storms moved in just east of the city and provided spectacular results. |

Here is an extensive series from August 2005, including photos from Heinz Field during a Steeler game. Among a few skyline vantage points are Spring Hill cemetery on the North Side, Mt. Washington, and the West End. Click the photo at right to view this set. |

We’re all blessed to have you remind us of the beauty of our hometown. It’s great to see the city’s transformation. If it’s not too much to ask, I would like to see more of the newer constructions like the August Wilson center, Pgh.’s beautiful cathedrals nestled between towering skyscrapers, etc. You know, those hidden corners that somehow remind us of something that is almost irretrievable from our past. Places that seemingly bring to mind, given days of our lives. I realize that this is almost an impossible task. I wish I could put my finder on it, but I can’t. Nonetheless, thank you for your outstanding work.

Glad to see some pictures of the Consol Energy Center from the outside – the Penguins website doesn’t show much.

oh, Thank You for the gorgeous photographs, I have lived here all of my life and can never seem to get enough of just admiring how beautiful my steel town really is!, Yet another reason as to why I am so very proud to say that I am a Pittsburgher! Aside from the obvious beauty of the skyline, I believe that the traditions, sports teams and the friendliness of Pittsburghers make this the greatest city in this great country of ours!, I am a bit asshamed to admit that I moved to Tampa for a few years of depression, I never knew nor was prepared to miss this place so much!, as a bartender in Fl. I would fly home for three days just to get my ” fix”, until the last time when the thought of flying back to Tampa made me physically ill, I had my belongings sent to me from Tampa and I vowed that I will never put myself through that ever again! Lesson learned! Pirmantis, Mancinis, the strip, the point you just can’t beat them! in Tampa I bored of the bewildered look I received when I would say yinz! lol! I love this place! no orther like it in the world!Pittsburgh, Sixburgh, Blitzburgh my beloved home!!!!! Here we go Steelers! Here we go!!!!! Get ‘em boys!
